Brush 5 runs big brush fire in southern half of the county.

In the heat of the mid afternoon, Company 8 was notified of a brush fire endangering a structure. With Brush 8 and wagon 8 on scene units reported over 3 acres of woods and power lined trails on fire. The fire was started by a homeowner that was burning limbs and discarded lumber. With winds changing rapidly, the fire grew out of control. Chief 2A marked on scene and requested more brush trucks and additional tankers. With that Brush 5 marked up with two responding. While on scene with Units from Chancellor, Spotsylvania, and Upper Caroline County, worked hand in hand to put the fire out.
