Company 5 members complete V.A.V.R.S. Rescue and Awareness class

Four members from The Big Easy, attended a two day class on vehicle rescue and awareness. The day started with a lecture on vehicle construction and stabilization from Mike Jones Johnny Leach Sr., Kelly Southard, Ricky Hodge, Cecil Leach and Johnny Zane Leach II . After lunch the students went to a parking lot and prepared to cut the cars. Size up stabilization and extrication took place and the cars were cut up in a matter of minutes. Day two consisted of students and instructors meeting up at Summit Recycling where the found cars in various positions and worked to remove the roofs of the cars and trucks. A special thanks goes out to Fredericksburg Rescue Squad, Summit Recycling and the V.A.V.R.S Instructors.
